OOTD || THE COLD

NL: Afgelopen zondag had ik met Tara afgesproken om foto's te maken voor onze blogs. Niet alleen gezellig,
maar ook reuze praktisch. Omdat Tara zelf ook blogt, weet ze wat er allemaal komt kijken bij zo'n shoot. Ik kan haar eindeloos vragen om een foto nog eens over te doen en we kunnen meters door de stad slenteren op zoek naar de beste plek.
We hadden de mooiste dag van de week uitgekozen, een dag vol zon in plaats van regen. Maar wat was het koud! Bijna te koud om te poseren! Met ijskoude vingers van het fotograferen en bevroren tenen van het stil staan, stapten we na ruim een uur allebei weer in de tram in onze eigen richting.
Een camera vol foto's, maar eenmaal thuis was ik toch niet tevreden. Ik draag de dikste trui die ik bezit, maar op de meeste foto's lijk ik verkrampt van de kou. Om nog maar niet te spreken over mijn rode neus. Statische haren die zielig langs mijn bleke gezicht hangen. Of mijn rok die opeens aan mijn panty plakt. En mijn outfit... die vond ik ook niet meer zo leuk.
Het ligt absoluut niet aan de fotografie-kwaliteiten van Tara! Maar als de temperatuur onder de 5 graden komt, is het dan niet gewoon te koud om nog outfits op de foto te zetten? Of ben ik een koukleum?
EN: Last Sunday Tara and I met to shoot some outfit pictures for both our blogs. Not only nice to see her again, but it's practical as well. Because Tara is a blogger herself, she knows what it is all about. I can ask her again and again if she please can take one more picture and we can stroll around town to look for the right place to shoot the pictures.
We picked the most beautiful day of the week, a day full of sun instead of rain. But it was so cold outside!! Almost too cold to pose! After a little over an hour, we both went our own way again. With cold fingers from photographing and frozen toes from standing still!
A camera full of pictures, but when I came home, I didn't feel satisfied. I was wearing the thickest sweater that I own, but in most of the pictures I look cramped from the cold. Not to mention my red nose. Static hair that hanging down my pale face. Or my skirt that is suddenly sticks to my tights. And my outfit... I did not like my outfit any longer.
It's not about Tara's photography skills at all. But when the temperatures drop below 5 degrees, ain't it just too cold to shoot an outfit? Or am I too shivery?
