Dear diary,

It has been a long time since I wrote to you. That's because I was really busy with work. We all moved to another office and started in a new team because of a reorganisation. And I think it's very hard to get used to all the changes... But, work hard play hard! I did a lot of fun stuff as well. And that's what I want to tell you about:
Roel got his driver's license! he passed at once, yaaay! so last monday we had champagne to celebrate! //
the monday before that we had our last day as a team and we had 'Bram Ladage' as lunch. my colleague/friend Rebecca and I went to get it, haha, so we were walking around with a lot of fried stuff!! // a drink in the sun with Daisy and her doggie Ruud on my day off // selfie! // a picture from an outfitshoot that did not make it to the post // father's day. I don't see my dad a lot, unfortunately, but there was a time I meant the world to him. so I shared this photo anyway // celebrating Roels brother Koen's 31rst birthday! // a saturdaynight well spent at Marinke and Andreas house (a triple date, Roel hates it when I say that! Lol!) with Desiree and Roeland and cutiepie Felix, who's growing so fast, and a lot of tasty food! /// and... last thursday at the Parade, it was sooo much fun!!

Hope to get to you real soon again.

Lot's of love,

dress - H&M trend, sunnies - H&M, boots - H&M

Strange weather it is, these days. Not warm enough for summer dresses, not cold enough for jeans and coats. But the plus side of this beast-printed dress (look close, it's full of tigers, lions and puma's!) is that it's easy to combine with some black boots and warm socks. My leather jacket to go, in case I need it, and I'm ready to hit the road.
With do you wear when weather is as erratic as it is at the moment? And what do you think of my outfit?

What I wore:  dress - H&M divided, sunnies - Ale Hop, sandals - Birkenstock, bag - H&M trend

What I've seen: Jett Rebel - Kodaline - Stromae - Jake Bugg - Gogol Bordello - Metallica

So. This is what I look like after no showers and hardly any sleep for 3 days. It was an early morning, this last day of Pinkpop. We had to get our stuff ready to go, 'cause we had to catch a train home at night and wanted to miss as little as possible from Metallica. And Jett Rebel, my darling Jett Rebel (please, go check him out on You Tube... Google him...) was playing at noon and I definately did not want to miss that! His performance was as awesome as I had predicted! He even did a song together with his idol Larry Graham... perfect! (did I already told you to look him up on You Tube?).
After that it was time for Kodaline, and to catch up on my sleep a little. No, I'm not saying they were boring, not at all.. I was just very tired and it was hot as hell! And that's also the reason we did not get into the crowd during Stomae's show. What he did was pretty amazing, but we watched it from our save place in the shadow. And saw at least 3 girls passing out because of the heat...
Jake Bugg was the act I was most looking forward to. I love his music and Roel and I play it a lot at home. And it was really cool to see him in real life, but his performance was pretty dull. Why so serious, Jake? But well.. he played my favourite songs (Broken and 2 fingers) so I danced and sang along anyway!
While we were eating, clouds were covering the sun and the message reached us that there was a major thunder storm coming up. Code red! So we decided to go see Gogol Bordello in a huge tent. And what a great choice that was! While Gogol Bordello threw us a huge party, the weather went mad outside! Rain! Storm! Thunder! People from home were calling in to check if we were ok. Water sloshed into the tent. But we stayed save and dry.
When the worst was over we went outside (a special thanks to Marjolein, who brought the ponchos!), hoping for Metallica to play. Their performance was delayed because of the weather, but after an hour they started just in time for us to enjoy the first 3 songs.
And then we had to go, catch the last train home. And although it was the best feeling to finally get a shower and wash my hair and to sleep in my own bed when we got home at 4 in the morning, Pinkpop was the best! A great festival, with an awesome line-up, and some very cool people to share it with!
Yet another precious memory to keep!

What I wore:  dress - H&M divided, flowercrown - Monki, sunnies - local store, flipflops - Haviana's

What I've seen: Chef Special - Limp Bizkit - Ed Sheeran - Paolo Nutini - Editors - Artic Monkeys

Pinkpop day 2 was the best day, by far! We woke up to a thunder storm, which was a bit scary, but it cooled off the air just enough to make the weather much more pleasant.
We were surprised by Chef Special, they gave a great and touching performance. Tears were rolling down my face when he sang 'In your arms'. Limp Bizkit was pretty awesome as well, Fred Durst took us on a trip down memory lane. We chilled at the 'Kalm aan laan' and had something to eat with the lovely songs of Ed Sheeran in the background. Stood very close to Paolo Nutini (and all the screaming girls in the front), had some dinner at the 'Rollende Keukens' during Editors and felt a bit drunk while dancing to the Artic Monkeys.
At the end of the day my feet felt sore, but we still had enough energy to do a little dance in the party tent at the campsite. And then fell asleep, waiting for another great festival day to come...
About the dress.. This is my way to deal with the bare midriff trend. 30'C in Holland, a festival... cropped tops were everywhere. Like really.. everywhere! Even the girls who don't get the trend and combine them with low shorts... and/or the tóó much skin. Everybody has to do and wear what they like, but hey, I like to keep it classy!

What I wore: skirt - Monki, top - Zara, sandals - Birkenstock, sunnies - Ale Hop, bag - H&M trend

What I've seen: Ed Kowalczyk & Noordpool Orkest - Flogging Molly - Joe Bonamassa - John Mayer - The Rolling Stones

Pinkpop day 1 was an intense day. We had to get up very early in the morning to catch a train to the very south of our country. With a tent, 2 backpacks and 30 'C outside we walked to the campsite and I already felt worn out before we reached festival ground!
But... as soon as we were there the awesomeness prevailed and I felt like I could go on for days! Dancing and singing at Flogging Molly, relax to the sounds of Joe Bonamassa's guitar, be enchanted by the music of John Mayer and a dream coming true with The Rolling Stones!
What a day! And only the start of an amazing festival!
Oh, and the skirt.. that's a new one. Roel picked it out for me. Pretty awesome, don't you think? (and the last piece of clothing I allow myself to buy this season, I promiss!)
