Hip hip hurray! Yesterday it was my blog first birthday. Except for it being a good reason to get some decorated donuts on my way home, I took the time to look back on the last 12 months.
By the time the end of our 4 month trip through South-America was approaching, I got the idea to start a new blog. I spent nights in Colombia thinking about a concept, a name, a lay-out... I could hardly wait to go online! I wanted it to be some kind of magazine. With my outfits and a lot of fashion, but with articles about other subjects as well. Art, travel, guest writers, hotspots in Rotterdam. And show you a bit of my life behind the clothes as well. A new post everyday!
But...I found out it's a hard job, blogging. Especially in combination with a fulltime job and a photographer a.k.a. my boyfriend who doesn't like to take pictures at all! After a few of months it became a stress factor, rather than a challenge. I had to make a change. By now I blog less often, but with much more fun! My blog is my little baby!
Page views continue to rise and my number of followers is still growing. Just reached 500 followers on Instagram, yes! I know it's nothing if you compare it with the 1.6 million from Negin, but for me it's a goal achieved!
Besides that, I've been to cool events because of my blog and met some great people. Even made some money writing! Growth in small steps, but I'm content.
Last, but not least I want to thank you all for the support. And a special thanks to my own handsome man Roel, who continues to shoot my outfits and other pictures, even though he hates it. ;) To Eline, for her monthly moodboards on the blog, which are a great inspiration every time. To Wesley, Alexis, Hennie, Marco, Ravennah, Sanne, Fatma, Yasmin and Jurmelyn for sharing their stories as a guest writer.
